Free online browser history tools

Two ways to get your data: your computer or the cloud

Around 70% of people use Google Chrome to browse the internet. We can show you how to either upload data already on a local computer that uses Chrome or request your data from Google.

Using this free service, you can upload the cryptic data, analyze it and export it to Excel in a more readable format.

We can categorize various forms of internet usage such as browsing Social Media, Webmail, Movies, Adult or Copyright material.

Google Takeout (Complete History)

OPTION 1: The data Google has about you in the cloud

Google also keeps a copy of your browsing history on their servers going back much further than the history on your computer. The good news is you can request this data from them free of charge.

We will show you how to do this and what to do with it when you get it as the data they provide can be difficult to work with.

Google Chrome History (90 day history)

OPTION 2: How to get browser history data from a computer

You can view your Google Chrome history by typing this url from within Google Chrome:

chrome://history

(Don’t worry – this web address is a local web address that only shows details on the computer it is viewed on. Chrome does not let us provide it as a link)

If this isn’t enough and you want the details in an Excel format or want to see the categories of website visited, we can help.

Google Chrome uses a history database file on the computer it is used on to record every web page you visit for the last 90 days.

We will show you where it is on a computer and how to upload it to get reports on internet usage - free of charge.

As the history file only goes back for the last 90 days, if that is not enough, you can use Google Takeout.

(as with Google Chrome, this web address is a local web address that only shows details on the computer it is viewed on. Microsoft Edge does not let us provide it as a link)

If this isn’t enough and you want the details in an Excel format or want to see the categories of website visited, we can help.
